Data. Is it your organization’s repository for change?

Part 1 of a 3-part post on your data.

Data is primarily about people and their changes over time. Students take courses, Customers buy, Staff do jobs and change jobs, Patients get ill and then better, and Engineers make products cheaper and better. All have a qualitative aspect to the change that’s important to record, making your data your most valuable commodity. You need to ask yourself, am I recording the changes we should be on top of? What would that look like?
